Meet Alisha

Alisha Mernick (she/her) is an award winning, nationally recognized Visual Art and Social Justice Educator based in Los Angeles.

 

Alisha has an extensive history of professional service and activism related to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the field of art education, as well as over 15 years of classroom teaching experience.

Her teaching practice, publications, advocacy, and lectures advance art education as an ideal space to engage students in a critical analysis of issues of identity, social justice, anti-racism, and civic engagement.
